Í dag snjóaði meira en gerst hefur í október síðan mælingar hófust. Veðrið gekk þó niður fyrr en áætlað var og er veðrið á höfuðborgarsvæðinu prýðilegt eins og er. Eftir situr hins vegar mikill snjór og töluverð hálka í gatnakerfi borgarinnar og teljum við því rétt að gefa öllum gott svigrúm til að komast í skólann á morgun. Við fellum því niður kennslu fyrstu tvo tímana í fyrramálið og áætlum að skólastarfið hefjist klukkan 10.25. Ef eitthvað í fyrramálið gefur tilefni til þess að fresta skólaupphafi enn frekar munum við láta vita með tölvupósti .

Athugið að húsin verða opnuð upp úr klukkan 8 og þið eruð því velkomin í skólahúsnæðið okkar ef þið eruð fyrr á ferðinni.

Dear students

Today it snowed more than it has in October in Iceland since measurements began. The weather did clear up earlier than expected and at the moment the weather is calm and beautiful. However, there is still a lot of snow and considerable ice on the city’s streets, and we therefore believe it is right to give everyone plenty of time to get to school tomorrow. We are therefore cancelling the first two classes and plan to start school at 10.25. If something in the morning gives reason to postpone the start of school even further, we will let you know by email.

Please note that our buildings will be open from 8 am, and you are therefore welcome to come to our school buildings earlier if that suits you better.
